Give a recurring offer a clear place in your store

Sell digital subscriptions from your own storefront

Present recurring digital offers alongside eligible one-time products. Show customers the billing interval before they pay, and give them one account for their subscriptions and orders. The current payment launch is USD.

Make the recurring commitment easy to understand

Explain what the subscription includes, how often it renews and how customers access what they bought. A clear recurring offer starts with clear expectations.

Make the price and interval clear

Prepare a subscription price for your product and show the recurring term with the offer. Customers should understand what they are committing to before checkout.

  • Keep recurring terms distinct from one-time purchase totals.
  • Build your launch offer around the currently supported USD payment flow.

Bring compatible purchases together

Eligible subscriptions and one-time items can share a coordinated checkout journey, so customers do not have to treat them as unrelated parts of your store.

  • The supported purchase must complete before fulfillment.
  • One checkout journey may involve multiple Stripe actions, not one combined charge.

Keep subscriptions in the customer account

Customers can find their supported subscriptions and orders from their account. Digital access follows the subscription status recorded by the service.

  • Give buyers an account they can return to after checkout.
  • Distinguish a scheduled end-of-period cancellation from a subscription that has already ended.

Describe exactly what is included

Tell customers what they receive, how long access lasts and what support you provide. Do not imply a course platform or automatic monthly content delivery unless you have separately built and checked it.

  • Make your content, access and support terms part of the offer.
  • Check renewal and cancellation behavior before launching your subscription.

Questions before you choose

Can customers buy a download and a subscription together?

Eligible one-time items and subscriptions can share a coordinated checkout journey. It can involve multiple Stripe actions, so it is not a promise of one underlying charge. The supported purchase must complete before fulfillment.

Is this a ready-made course or membership system?

This page describes recurring digital offers, checkout and customer access. It does not promise course lessons, progress tracking, a community or automatic delivery of a new content drop every month. Check those requirements separately.

What happens when a customer cancels?

A request to cancel at the end of a billing period is different from a subscription that has already ended. Access follows the subscription status recorded by the service. Test your exact cancellation and renewal workflow before launch.

What fees and taxes should I account for?

See Pricing for the plan subscription and platform transaction fee. Stripe processing fees and applicable taxes are separate. Tax eligibility depends on your merchant setup; tax filing, remittance and support for every country are not included promises.

Check the lifecycle before you launch

Recurring offers and customer subscription views are implemented. Supported mixed purchases have completed controlled Stripe testing; that is not a blanket production certificate for every recurring workflow.

Test more than the first payment

Check the first purchase, renewal, cancellation and any refund behavior your offer needs. These are separate workflows, and their readiness is not interchangeable.

Plan for failed payments

Customer-facing failed-payment recovery is not a finished product today. Do not rely on a complete automatic recovery service when planning your subscription operations.
